Director Lesley Dankbaar: Since qualifying in 1971, Lesley Dankbaar has worked as a court reporter in state and federal jurisdictions in every state of Australia. In 1989 Lesley established ComputerReporters with Errol Carter. In 1991 Lesley set up the first computer-integrated courtroom and produced the transcript for the first realtime court in NSW. She pioneered television stenocaptioning in Australia and undertook pro bono work for deaf and hard-of-hearing communities.

Lesley was the first non-American to be elected to the board of the US-based Society for the Technological Advancement of Reporting (STAR). She travels to the US twice a year for court technology/software conferences, and is a beta tester for the Stenograph Corporation.

Lesley is committed to the teaching of the next generation of court reporters and, with Errol Carter, was instrumental in the establishment of the Australian School of Court Reporting (NSW).
